After the massive Acid Youth Of Malibu remixes 12", we definitely needed a follow-up record that could carry the baton at pace. The 15 Dead Minutes are Delinquent Dialect, Dr. Skunkenstein and Heuristic Audio - all seasoned players in the underground electro scene but crucially a trio who 'get' real techno and have no qualms in speeding it up and fighting dirty. 

What we have here is a collection of raw and frenzied battle tools cut straight from a series of wild hardware sessions, where distortion runs free and sound waves run riot. On the a-side 'Purge The Pious' recalls the burning intensity of '90s techno in a penetrating style that is 100% T15DM, followed by the marauding acidic electro of '20 Parts Per Million' that'll no doubt score bonus points with fans of their previous 12" on Trensmat. 

On the flip, the surging 'Your Belief Is Broken' continues along a sinister path, with a spitting lead synth that manages to be uplifting yet equally unnerving. 'Ugly Growths' closes out the record and lives up to its name - a lunging attack of mutant acid that highlights the trio's love for crawling sound textures and mad sequences.

The Next 15 Minutes

For the best part of a decade T15DM have been cultivating a post-electro, nu-tech-industrial sound aesthetic, that, until now has only been heard by the lucky attendees of their live excursions. Taking place in some of the more hedonistic sound dungeons that can be found in the sordid parts of our cities - the experience has been described as “dangerous, violent, chaotic and the epitome of anarchy”, a hint of which was witnessed in a recent teaser video.

The 15 Dead Minutes, a trio of Paul Mayhem (Dr Skunkenstein), David Froud (Heuristic Audio) and David Campbell (Delinquent Dialect) claim their sound has a more profound meaning to its attitude and that its not anarchy for anarchy's sake, though the three are choosing not to divulge more on their artistic explorations and instead allowing their work to speak, or should I say scream for itself.

No Volition By Delinquent Dialect

Electro. 

Kraftwerk invented it in the seventies. Hip hop jacked it in the eighties. Techno took it underground in the nineties. And then strange things happened in the noughties. House and dubstep co-opted the word "electro", shifting its meaning and confusing people. Good people. People like YOU. 

You've forgotten what real electro sounds like. But that's ok, because we're here to remind you. Electro is the sound of robots dreaming of a science fiction future, making machine music in their bedrooms with pulsing drum machines, while their keytars gently bleep. OK, maybe not so much the keytars, but probably some squelching synths, and sci fi samples and even the occasional vocoder, all washed down with lashings and lashings of funk. 

Today, electro continues to evolve, embracing modern production techniques and digital sound design, mutating into something so alien it barely resembles most of today's dance music. And yet it does. It SO does, and we have over 100 tracks that prove it, from relentless dancefloor tracks to intricately tweaked bedroom chin-scratchers; from melodic retro tributes to the escapist soundtrack of science fiction futures. 

So why not consider parting with the princely sum of exactly zero money and opening your ears to the amazingly free Electro Compendium? Who knows, you might even learn something.

Another 15 minutes of unrelenting dystopian soundscapes delivered with energetic fervour. It only seems like yesterday when we uploaded the Internal Dialogue video onto youtube and the first "15 Minutes" onto Soundcloud, yet its been over a year. During that time, we as a group of individuals have had a manic time of it. So in PR spiel "Due to unforeseen circumstance..." the planned release of FUDOG 007 suffered some set backs. In truth FUDOG 007 became less of a priority for us as other important life events demanded our attention.

This second 15 minute instalment is in answer to some attention we've been getting and to let you all know that we have stoked the fires again—we are back to producing. T15DM are open for business once again. So anyone interested in remixes, suitable collaborations and gigs should get in contact. 

As for FUDOG 007, its still on the cards but we're not making any promises for the time being.

Their debut EP on Trensmat is venomous with intent from the outset. 'The Runaway' is some serious hydraulic electro-techno, a driving 808 rinse-out into a storm beyond the aquatic triangle. 'Children of the 303' is raw , haunted, obscure and sinister sounding - lock up yer kin! Flip for 'Fibril' where the 303 gets mangled and twisted, melancholic melodies drowning in running tape delays, wobbling analog pulses- frustrated funk in full effect. 'Internal Dialogue' closes the B, all dark driving basslines and glitchy sounds going all over the place, straight to the point mixed up machine madness. A perfect soundtrack for a dark basement full of smoke and strobe light. Proper underground electro for those that do because they couldn't care less.

Buyers also get additional extras for immediate download - digital copies of each track featured on the vinyl plus two exclusive additional tracks - MacReadys Tape & 'Mass'. Only the buyers of the vinyl will get the digital versions of the EP + extras, it will not be available otherwise.
