In this episode, I interview Dr. Peter Fraenkel, Ph.D., who is an Associate Professor of Clinical Psychology at The City College of the City University of New York. 
Dr. Fraenkel is currently co-chair of AFTA’s Research Committee, co-chair of the Task for on Climate Crisis and Families, and member of the Cultural and Economic Diversity Committee. He lectures nationally and internationally and has been widely featured on the topic of couples and families in the popular press, including television, cable, radio, magazines, and newspapers. 
Music As things globally unfold with the COVID-19 crisis, we come together to discuss how we as a community can integrate and create wisdom we learned from experience and research throughout the years as well as encouraging others to be in perspective about our past, present, and future.

AFTA Podcast Episode - Kaethe Weingarten

In this episode, Amy Tuttle-Guerrero and Danna welcomed Dr. Richard Chasin, a founding member of AFTA, he was President in 1993-95, and in 2008 he received AFTA’s Lifetime Achievement Award. He is a child of immigrants and started to practice, promote, and teach family therapy in 1963 during his PSYCHIATRY residency. Dr. Chasin is a graduate of Yale College and Harvard Medical School, he was an Associate Professor of Psychiatry at Harvard from 1985-2010. This episode marks a new season where we revisit AFTA's Biographical history through Dr. Chasin's experiences and stories. We take notice of the events that contributed to AFTA's history and informed the work of many people who were committed to bringing forward important values that served as the meaningful foundation to AFTA as an organization.
