Never Held a Baby - Featuring Peter Broderick

I created The Blast EP as an experiment in chance. I assembled a collection of different MIDI sequences and routed them to various hardware synthesizers and drum machines in my studio. I triggered these different clips and had a synth open, allowing me to respond and play melodies and bass lines that matched the presented chord progressions, moods, and ambiences. This process was performed live as a loose improvisation on an internet radio app called Blast. Blast is a platform for a community of artists and DJs to stream their performances live, which are then available for 24 hours before disappearing.The initial performance was recorded, and I found a kindred spirit in Aaron Shaw, a remarkable saxophonist. He embellished the 30-minute journey with additional melodies, adding layers of soul and emotion to this piece. Truly meant to be listened to front to back!
