I had such a solid time among friends new and old as we collectively danced in the new year! The rainy weather didn't slow down the crowd one bit. The heavier rain held off until right after my set. Perhaps we rain danced a bit too hard and invited it in. It had been well over 10+ years since I played BOC and it felt so amazing to be back at it on the Space Cowboys MOG stage. For those of you who don't know the history, the MOG made it's debut in 2001 at Burning Man as one of the first art cars with a hefty sound system. IMO all the large scale art cars of current Burning Man fame, have the Space Cowboys to thank for being among the first to inspire us all.

Alcazar Live @ Powder Room Niseko - Feb 2026

Recorded live at Ritual Dance (Templo Del Cielo Stage) 
during Envision Festival in Costa Rica a couple of weeks ago.

The night unfolded as a true tribal gathering. Rhythms from across the Globe inspired my soundtrack. African percussion, Brazilian and Latin pulses, and the hypnotic textures of the Middle East, guided the dance from beginning to end. The energy on the floor was infectious, and I found myself feeding off of the infectious energetic loop throughout, letting the crowd shape the journey as much as the music did.

Moments like this are why I love playing festivals (Especially Envision). There’s a shared current between DJ and dancefloor that turns the night into something alive and unpredictable.

I’m happy to share this recording so those who were there can revisit the moment, and those who weren’t can experience a piece of what we co-created together.  I hope we get to dance together in person soon!

This set was put together with nothing but good vibes intended, and my little way of welcoming back a special part of us all that had been missing. A couple of cheeky numbers were thrown in to signal The Return, drop some sage words of advice, and note that we've been afforded Another Chance at the magic this beautiful festival brings us all. Born from the fires of Burning Man in the year 2000, Alcazar began as a DJ and art car captain aboard the Rocketship mutant vehicle.  Alcazar is now known to play music that is dark, dirty, booty shakin, and cerebral.

Now a part of the STiRTy DJ collective in San Francisco, Alcazar has been a staple in the recent STiRTy parties and has gained tremendous support from the local community, being invited to perform at festivals, parties, clubs, and of course Burning Man camps.  Alcazar pulls from many genres in his performances, such as Techno, House, Tech-House, Deep House, Future House, and Breaks.
