This is the first sloppy demo form of the project as it stands. It's not very good but it shows potential and a surprising ammount of direction. The majority of these songs were recorded for the first time this time, based only on scribbled lyrics found in dusty notepads. Some of them work, some don't, a few even work well. A few tracks on here were previously uploaded to YouTube in rough solo acoustic guitar demos as 'Inaugeration Of The Third Eye'. These tracks represent my first real attempt at digital recording aswell as my first real attempt at recording these songs. These tracks also represent a lot of guess work on my part as I usually have nothing more than some lyrics and a tempo to start with, whereupon I just launch in and record the first thing on each instrument I can think of that'll fit for now, each instrument recorded for the whole track in one first-time take, with the intention of getting friends who are actual musicians to help me record something better next time now I can sort of show how stuff should go... so excuse the sloppy mess of some of it. All tracks were recorded using a guitar-to-usb lead, Audacity and a cheap netbook. Instruments used were out of condition electro-acoustic Fender bass and guitar, and an electric Peavey Milestone bass for two. It took about eight days to record the whole thing due to refusal to re-record anything for these first attempts. The next batch will get left in the oven long enough to bake properly I hope.
