We are folk song singing, harmonising, small instrument playing duo. We sing old songs. Really old. Scottish, Irish, English and American. We're new.

This song is from the 1600s and is about a Scottish Earl, George Gordon, who suffers royal displeasure and is sentenced to death. The song is told from his wife's point of view - she's pleading with the King for his life.

Already old in 1666 when recorded in Samuel Pepys dairy, this song is a timeless and heartbreaking song of a woman's indifference to a man dying for the love of her.

The Cruelty of Barbry Ellen

A Scottish fishing song from the early eighteenth century. This song was sung by the crew of ships setting sail for Greenland to hunt whales for months on end. 

We sang this recently at an EU conference on sustainable fishing...it went down surprisingly well.

We are The Alpaca Jamboree. 

We sing old folk songs, handed down and over-heard and found, and weave our own tales of sea faring and loss and wandering strangers with sweetly sung harmonies and gently picked guitar.
