For the Dwarfs, mining is a way of life. Often times, when a party has been mining their way through the lifeless dark of the mountains for too long without a single stone to show for it, they begin to chant songs such as this one to lift their spirits and keep tunneling through the dark. 

Tonight, we have one such mining party joining us who just spent quite a long time in the heart of the mountains, and just recently struck veins richer than they could ever imagine when they had all but given up. 
 
So raise your glasses, horns, and skulls to courage and perseverance friends, and may you never back down before the darkness ahead of you, but march through it with your heads held high and your hearts hard as stone.

Quiet down revelers! A band of weary warriors has joined the patrons of the Tavern tonight, and as is custom to their people, they've asked to play a song traditionally dedicated to the fallen.

A few weary travelers from the Western Isles have come through our door as well, and they've a tune or two to play for us! Legend has it: whenever a band of storytellers leave their Isles to travel, they play this tune to fight off the dread of leaving home into new lands, and replace the dread of homesickness with the inspiration of wanderlust.

Tonight we have a Wanderer in our midst! Something about the way he and his instruments sing his hymn feels from... a deeper world, as if the forest itself sings in harmony.

There's something magical about the moment between night and day, when both seem to, if even just for a moment, coexist in the same realm. The creatures of the day haven't quite gone to sleep, yet the creatures of the night are just beginning to stir, all the while under a sky of deep reds, pinks, and purple. It's in these moments, that it seems our world isn't our world anymore, but something better, something more magical. 

If you listen close enough, in total silence, away from the bustle of mankind, alone with the trees and the stones, you may begin to hear music pure as autumn mist.
