'Men in Sheds' invites the listener to eavesdrop on Albert's shed, where a group of old men share their solutions to a rudimentary dilemma. The idea for the story was partly based on a scheme promoted initially by Age UK and now by the Men's Sheds Association (UK). Info on their websites says that 'Sheds' reduce the risk of loneliness and isolation in old age by providing a safe space where the elderly can share their skills, interests, or concerns, or come simply for a cup of tea and a chat.
