My quick attempt at the June 9th Atom Challenge through Synthwave Dojo!

Synthwave Dojo - 6/9 Atom Challenge

The community challenge in r/synthwaveproducers for the month of June was to create a 1-4 minute track inspired by RoboCop. Either recreate the theme, re-imagine the score of a specific scene, or create an original track using samples from the movie.

I chose to use a handful of samples in an original piece. The Arp in the intro section was inspired by the track "Robo Lives" from the OST, which is from the scene in which the opening quote is also from.

Something about this track made me think of 80s cop movies, so I had to throw some samples in to push it further toward that. You can't make synthwave or cyberpunk without at least one track that features police siren samples, right? It's just an expected trope of the genre, at this point, I do believe.

Midnight Sentinels

The challenge this month was to create a track inspired by a specific image provided by Dr. Laguna - the album art is said image.

The track is in G Dorian with a BPM of 104
