Amsterdam based technohead Tahko (‘89) has been around in the underground techno scene for some years now and made a huge impression on numerous artists and events with his groovy,
rollin’ technosound.

With his passionate drive and love for music, he takes the audience on a journey into his own world; a fusion of contemporary grooves with deep hypnotic rhythms like the Detroit originators did before him, with a modern twist.
Tahko’s productions have been released Coincidence Records, Naked Lunch Records, Distortus Music, Eclipse Recordings to name a few. His track ‘Rave Culture’ came out one on Pan Pot’s
Second State in 2020, followed by a solo project ‘Counting E.P.’ on Secret Cinema’s Gem Records performed at top venues and events like Tresor, Tomorrowland, Day-On Festival, Kompass Klub, Thuishaven, Loveland, Labyrinth Club, Welcome To The Future, Valhalla, de Marktkantine,Toffler alongside Industrialyzer, Marco Bailey, Flug, Cari Lekebusch, Gary Beck, Charlotte de Witte, Nicole Moudaber, Fatima Haji and many more artists alike.

In 2022 he started his own label called “tales.”

For this podcast we invite Locus Error.

Her fascination with techno music arose as a raver herself. Dancing she felt how techno can be something dynamic that takes a raver in hypnosis through the night. Fascinated by this feeling she took to DJing herself, understanding perfectly how the waves of the dancefloor form.

Her artistic journey started at a young age playing the cello as a solo performer and in (classical)orchestras, learning about music at an institute in Belgium where she graduated from a 10 year programme. This knowledge about the swell, dynamics and emotions of
(classical)music you can still hear in her well-crafted and musical sets.

Besides DJing, Locus Error is co-boss of BALANS record and events she runs together with Tripeo. She supports nightlife in Nijmegen by being a board member of ‘Stichting Nachtburgemeester’ and she took a great part in crafting the first DJ and producer student
association in the Netherlands.

The Bas[s]ment is an intimate, raw and underground club-like venue, located in a large industrial building in Amsterdam-West.

The Bas[s]ment is founded during the first Covid lockdown time. The concept was to give DJs a place to express themselves during Covid lockdown thru live streaming. Since we started more then 125 dj's from all over of the world played at the bas[s]ment. Although the Bas[s]ment started out small with only one camera and a few lights, it has evolved into a complete studio set-up with 4 full hd cameras, stunning visuals, a kick-ass high-quality sound system and a club-worthy light system. Recently we've decided that music is always better 'shared' with dancing people. So we've evolved again. We now bring you the possibility to have a live audience present during your DJ sets, in boiler room-style. The last 2 years we were also selected as an ADE official venue! ARE YOU READY? to dance on Techno-tv?
