Bassiks are a techno Dj/Producer duo from Greece that came
together in 2017, with both members being involved with
music from an early age.
Their sound is defined by driving grooves, heavy basslines and
raw aesthetics.
Based in Amsterdam, they were former residents at Club NL with East Collective and performed at the historic Club Paradiso with
Remy Unger & Joey Beltram.
They have made several appearances in clubs and venues in
Greece, The Netherlands, Germany, Austria and India having
headline events and also sharing the booth with respected Djs
from the local and international music scene like Sam Paganini,
The Yellowheads, TKNO, Axel Karakasis, Dextro, ROD, Aether among others.
They have also played in the Amsterdam
Dance Event and Geheime Liefde festival, performing among branded names.
They have several guest appearances in podcast
series and radio stations worldwide, including live
performances at AMW radio station in Amsterdam.
Their music has been released in labels like Boiler
Underground, Gain+, Syncopate, Pure Dope Digital and
Addeepted records that entered beatport charts, reached N.1
place with their Rushing In EP on top 100 (R/D/H) techno
releases and got supported by artists like Jay Lumen, Gaston
Zani, Dok&Martin, Luis Miranda, by Dj Rush during his set at
Awakenings on ADE and by Lilly Palmer on BBC Radio 1.
They also had their first vinyl release last year by
Rawsery records.
Feeling the need to share music and connect through it with
people, they are running and hosting Frequencies, a techno
music event in which they are performing near guest Dj's
aiming in the growth of the underground culture and local
scene.

Introducing: Marco Aurelio
Catchphrase: Creative, Versatile, Unpredictable,  with a very own signature sound! 
Marco Aurelio aka Sous Dubois. He brings passion, diversity, dynamics, storytelling, and dedication with a strong focus on the perfect interaction with a crowd. This is what you will experience, hear, feel and see when you get acquainted with one of the best kept secrets hailing out of Amsterdam.
As a young kid, he was influenced by various sounds such as Acid, Disco, Chaabi, Hardcore, Hip-hop, House, Gabber, Gangster Rap, Punk, Rai, R&B, and Reggae it was during the era of cassettes and radio.
When he heard Joey Beltram's Energy flash during the 90s on the radio for the very first time he was "blown away" and thought: "I dont know what the hell this is but it's freakin awesome!
March 2015 Aurelio started with his own radio show at Amsterdams Most Wanted FM under the name Sous Dubois.
He became an on-air personality where his show is listened to in more than 150 countries, and over the years he managed to build a solid following of listeners.
In 2015 he participated in the infamous TWSTD DJ Contest that lasted one year an he made it until the semi-finals with the last best ten DJs.
This was a very important year for him to gain experience but also in order to develop himself as fast as possible, and what helped a lot was getting detailed feedback from known industry professionals. During the contest, he played in many local Amsterdam clubs and earned his stripes as a newcomer within the Amsterdam scene.
His sound is balanced between a mixture of "rolling, trippy and hypnotic Techno", combined with "Breakbeats" and "Rave" with an old-school edge.
His sets are diverse and it also depends on which slot he is performing of course but most importantly he plays the right tracks at the right time and before you know it he sets the dancefloor on fire.
Aurelio is always taking the audience on a journey by introducing the crowd to his world therefore he is renowned for his big smile and his energetic vibe and most of all his electrifying connection with the crowd. Marco Aurelio is distinguishing himself from the rest where you can feel, see, and hear that his musical taste and performances are different, but most of all he is constantly giving 100% effortlessly and he always delivers! Born and raised in Athens, his earliest musical influences were shaped from the diverse sound of funk, soul and dub. Driven by a thirst for music exploration, he started collecting vinyls and CDs, delving deep into the world of techno and forest psy.

Soon, he found solace and belonging on the dancefloor, where he felt at home, embracing the feeling of equality and unity it offered. Motivated by a fervent desire for self-expression, he transitioned into its other side through the art of DJing.

As a resident artist for the «Cube» collective, he organised limited-capacity events with artists like
Dax J, Keith Carnal and Jewel Kid.

Following this period, he found a new avenue for expression on Cannibalradio, hosting his own radio show «Absence Of Light,» before rising to headliner
status at major venues across the city.

His creative journey expanded into production, with original tracks released on labels such as Diffuse Reality, PostDynamic, R[3]volution and Muted, earning acclaim from artists such as Ben Klock, Justine Perry and Fabio Florido.

In September 2022, he embarked on a new chapter in Berlin, where he continues to captivate audiences with his visionary approach to techno. Characterised by fast grooves, trippy sequences, and hypnotic elements, his DJ sets serve as immersive rituals, taking listeners on a journey through sound and infusing the dancefloor with a unique
energy and authenticity.

The Bas[s]ment is an intimate, raw and underground club-like venue, located in a large industrial building in Amsterdam-West.

The Bas[s]ment is founded during the first Covid lockdown time. The concept was to give DJs a place to express themselves during Covid lockdown thru live streaming. Since we started more then 125 dj's from all over of the world played at the bas[s]ment. Although the Bas[s]ment started out small with only one camera and a few lights, it has evolved into a complete studio set-up with 4 full hd cameras, stunning visuals, a kick-ass high-quality sound system and a club-worthy light system. Recently we've decided that music is always better 'shared' with dancing people. So we've evolved again. We now bring you the possibility to have a live audience present during your DJ sets, in boiler room-style. The last 2 years we were also selected as an ADE official venue!
