We've been following Pleasure Voyage since a year or so, looking closer every step that the Hungarian duo has done since then. When Attila and Szilard contact us in autumn in order to get released in MM Disco, it was a nice surprise, it was great to see that we've been following each other since long time and our idea about the balearic sound is pretty much the same; its always a pleasure to hear kind words from people you have a lot in common, at least what music refers.

We've decided to dedicate the whole month to them, first by releasing that magic Ep "Sun & Clouds" and also by launching the 9th episode of our MM Casts. We really appreciate how much they like and support MM Discos, featuring until 4 tracks from the label and also introducing artists like Bonnie & Klein or Gold Suite that have or will have releases with us.

and the rest?, well you know??, balearic, downtempo, tropical, bla,bla,bla..just play it on and make yourself feel like if you were in Talamanca, Cala Comte or Salinas, to name a few.

Since their first meeting (after both becoming residents at the historically important club “Venus” in Nottingham), between them they spent the 90s’ with residencies at many of the decades seminal parties including the Gardening Club, Venus, Deluxe, The Bomb and Stealth, as well as making regular appearances at events such as Andrew Weatheralls’ “Sabresonic” parties, Ministry of Sound “Open All Hours”, Club UK, Voodoo, Malibu Stacey, Golden, Progress, Moneypennys and even guesting as tour DJs for Underworld and James.

Coyote officially came into being in 2004, when Timm and Ampo decided to start making music together. Since taking on the moniker, Coyote have had a wealth of releases and remixes on a huge array of labels including International Feel, Claremont 54, Ene, Nang, Needwant, Aficionado, RVNG International, Polydor, Phantasy, Rothmans, Tusk Wax and their own “Is it Balearic?” itself, for artists including Odyssey, Charles Webster, Claire Mcquire, Soft Rocks, Runaway, Jose Padilla, Connan Moccasin, Chris Coco, the Backwoods and many, many more.
 After the birth of Coyote, Is It Balearic? Recordings followed in 2007. Initially conceived as merely a platform for the original Ltd Edition Coyote releases (all of which sold out very quickly) it has since branched out into releasing music from artists including Tiago, Downtown Party Network, Max Essa, Hardway Brothers, Justin Robertson, Social Disco Club, Midlake, Smith & Mudd, Mushrooms Project, and Craig Bratley, Leo Mas, Sorcerer as well as breaking new artists such as The Project Club, Giulio Dj, Ahiki, Rompante, and Pharao Black Magic, Daniel Whitehead. 
Is it Balearic? Also boasts a list of remixers that reads like a who’s who of the current Balearic music scene. From Norways dub disco legend Rune Lindbaek, Belgiums world renowned Aeroplane, to underground pioneers such as Andrew Weatherall, Hardway Brothers Phoreski, Pacific Horizons, Time & Space Machine, Prins Thomas, The Backwoods, Last Waltz, Begin… (the list goes on)...  
Thanks to their distinctive sound as both DJs and music makers, Coyote find themselves regularly invited to play music all across the UK and further afield, in places like Japan, Ibiza and Scandinavia.

Their latest 12”/mini album ‘Everything Moves, Nothing Rests’ has just been released on my last guest Phil Cooper’s label, NuNorthernSoul. Go check it via bandcamp.
