We know what you’re thinking, “The Blood Hand is in the singular but there are two of you”. Well, shut up, that’s what.  

If you don’t care about our story, just read the last sentence, it pretty much sums up the whole situation.

So, year 7 camp, that’s where it all began. Yes, we’ve been music producers since we were 12, we just didn’t know it until 3 months ago.  Josh was pretty up with the 2002 Spring/Summer fashion collection from K-Mart (either that, or his mum still dressed him) and red fingerless gloves were his statement for the weekend school getaway.

Whilst all the other kids were off being normal and playing on the flying fox, for some reason we were pretty much beating each other up for no apparent reason. We also found this incredibly hilarious. As you can tell, we were pretty cool.

“Here, let me use my blood hand” said one of us, of whom we can’t remember as it was 10 years ago. The red fingerless gloved hand represented this. The quote was also ripped from the dude with the munted hand on Scary Movie 2. This then proceeded to be the funniest quote of all time, and a further movie trailer involving The Blood Hand was made up in our heads. 

2002 was also the year of crazy annoying television commercials of The Grinch movie with Jim Carrey. Our Blood Hand movie trailer was heavily based on this film, as all creations by 12 year children are. 

The movie trailer went like this. 
“Here, let me use my blood hand” (said in munted hand butler voice)
“The..The..The Blood hand” (said in Jim Carrey Grinch voice)
Heaps creative and informative yeah? As you can clearly tell, It was a horror film.

After all our class mates listened to us and totally cared, we were the most popular kids around (they didn’t and we weren’t).

10 years later, listening to too many Dillon Francis mixtapes at work whilst one of us was being the others painting bitch (Hint: Josh was) we decided moombahton was our thing and decided to start making it, even though we totally sucked at it.

When faced with the decision of what to name our unsuccessful music venture, there was only one option.

So basically, The Grinch + butler from Scary Movie 2 with the munted hand + red fingerless gloves = The Blood Hand (or its inspiration at least) & we create underwhelming moombahton tracks.
