Joubin is a very talented drummer - https://soundcloud.com/joubin-mahmoudi 

He has a very powerful way of drumming and lots of intricate fills work.

This song, is quite basic from a guitar structure point of view, chordally, and melodically. Using Joubin's drum file as a basis, I overdubbed two sets of distorted laden Hohner Strat(Copy) guitar over the top. The pickups in the guitar are from Dominger Pickups - high quality high output strat and all other guitar pickups.  Mighty fine... https://www.facebook.com/Tammiedominger   

There are a couple of influences on here, leading to this song result over Joubin's drums
First - I like that Hendrix chord, that E7#9 chord, that is found on the song ' Purple Haze' ; so that was thrown in, to give a harder edge to the rhythm work at the start. Bit of A power chords, and B power chords too for measure.

Second- I like chromatic 70s style riff patterns. A lot of the stuff by Zep is a big influence on my guitar upbringing, but in addition a schoolfriend (also influenced by Zep and late 80s rockers Kingdom Come) also influenced these bluesy-chromatic riff patterns. (Richard Jones)

So.....the end result is this retro influenced song template....needs vocals, but I don't sing..... I listened to Joubin's drums, and wanted to put something on top that may be of interest (?)....it does have a quite retro vibe, I think

Bluesy Song

A one man band effort, (all instruments MB) but this needs vocals to be honest....Drums recorded one Tuesday night at Jam Jar studios at Cradley Heath http://www.jamjar-studios.co.uk/   a few timing issues here and there I guess...
Other stuff quickly put together afterwards, then mixed together quite organically to be honest. Fretless bass - always with thanks to www.lettsbasses.co.uk    double tracked in the mix to give it a bit more oomph and presence in the mix....Piano using Pianoteq software....Nylon String acoustic with a bit of Leslie Simulator effect towards the end. Went for a two idea motif throughout, in format.... Not much soloing or improvisation but was wanting to create a texture or mood rather than anything else. Enjoy !

An Acoustic Moment

Just a brief interlude idea for a jazz sequence. May be dispensed with soon! Moves around a cycle of 5 chords being C, Bb then Bb7, then a chord made up of #C Eb #F  then C minor diminshed being C Eb #F......an idea from a long long time ago. Work in progress, certainly not a complete work, or even perhaps.... not fit for posting!
