Being a loyal fan in today’s restless, smash-and-grab nature of the rap industry is overwhelming.  Many of us that manage to keep pace with the revolving door of album-quality mixtapes, breakthrough releases and exponential amounts of mediocrity cranked through the internets have become dependent on a constant intake of new music.  Just as many others that grew up with The Chronic, Enter the 36 Chambers, and ATLiens revere a past era when an album had real staying power, and question the value of a contemporary artist’s full-length release that is one of five in a given year.
