Through a sleepless tantrum of being lost in a place inside myself of wonder, mystery, and adrenaline; that was my state of mind a month before I realized I was actually going (last minute as always), as all my other priorities quickly seemed to dissolve and I focused purely on this set of music as a gift for my first burning man… performing this set which came together so suddenly and fluidly (rarely happens like that with me and took me back to more naive studio days) live with Robot Heart during the burning of the man shook me to the core with liberating inspiration and was such a unique and uplifting experience it feels like I almost betray the memory each time I try to explain it rashly. There really is nothing else in the world like the collective work ethic, art and communal push forward in Black Rock City during burning man. The coming together of people from all walks of life making art for the sake of art and sharing their crafts and visions openly empowering the strange and the fantastic into the norm and the very real. A phenomenon and celebration of human creativity and science throughout the extremities of nature and conservationism. None of these experiences or music would have come to fruition were it not for the patience and guidance of my close friends Gunita, Nikita, and Benjamin. Also, the accompanying musicians and my brothers who performed with me and took the music to the next level including the all mighty Tomas Barfod on drums and Jeppe Kjellberg on electric slide of WhoMadeWho and the very talented Alexey Etcheverry on violin.  Thank you to the entire Robot Heart crew for the mindblowing creative force they’ve put together in the desert and for inviting me to perform at such a remarkable, liberating and otherworldly moment during the Burn. Happy to share this set and memory and I hope you enjoy it.

Captivated by the atmospheric vibe and the calm of ambient music, as well as the state of absolute ecstasy that provokes the powerful beat of techno, this artist decided to explore the perfect balance between both.

Brian Zajak, aka Fejká began his musical career at the age of 17. Torn between the dreamy soft atmosphere of ambient music, and the hard punchy vibe of techno, Fejká couldn’t decide which direction his music production would take. “Day/night, dream/dance, slow/fast – music was always split into two worlds for me” he says.  Thus, he decided to experiment with both, showing the development process of dream music into dance music.

Drawn to artists such as Christian Löffler, HVOB and Kiasmos, the appeal of his style lies in its varied influences, and ability to harness the best of two contrasting genres. In the end, it was Christian Löffler himself who approached him, leading to his Debut EP "Twilight" which was released 2017 on Löfflers Label Ki Records. His highly anticipated Debut Album "Reunion" will be released in Fall 2019.  With only 23 years, Fejká has already set an interesting start and is definitely an artist worth to watch out for.

Maybe you hadn't imagined anything in the first place but now you wish you had, or you feel neither good nor bad as those two words can’t really describe the way you feel. What is the thing that has changed but which you would rather keep the same way, and vice versa? What have you been missing the most from your life from before the pandemic and what will you never ever miss again? What has lost its meaning and what has acquired a new one? What have you decided to do once the lockdown is lifted for good, and when and where will you travel to when the planes start to fly again? How pleasant have these days been for you, or to what extent do you think they should never have occurred in the first place? There are always more questions than answers but everything seems a little mixed up right now. Anyway, today’s is the last Monday of spring, and we are publishing @fejka’s set, the 83rd out of 100 mixes that will be created for the “homard” project, which we hope to unveil to the world next year.
