Imagine waves of relentless nausea crashing over you, an unrelenting storm threatening to steal your glow.

Hyperemesis Gravidarum, or HG for short, is a rare and mysterious pregnancy complication that affects around 1-3% of women worldwide but don't let its obscurity fool you—this is a severe health condition.

Surviving HG

In this special episode of The Issue, we look at a simulated chaos, spotlighting a zombie apocalypse that unfolded in Bournemouth last week. The immersive event, organised by health educators at Bournemouth University, was designed to refine the skills of paramedic and nursing students in responding to ‘major incidents’. It created the  tension of a real-life catastrophe, preparing students for real-world emergencies, and fostered a sense of community and collaboration among educational institutions and industry professionals in the region. Join us as we journey through the 'apocalypse'.
