The brothers were asked to produce cues for The Milkshake Boom's (http://www.themilkshakeboom.com/) latest short, the hysterical "Encouragement Clown".   

In a rare burst of productivity - brought about by either the forced hiatus from the studio or the inspiring nature of the short - the brothers generated a slew of work, some of which could not be used for one reason or another.  The producer, fearing that the uncharacteristic production boom might go unused, decided to release these cuts "to the wild", "just to show we're still viable" he said (in a very bitter tone that is difficult to convey here).

And so it is with great pride that we release these "outtakes" for your listening pleasure.

The Brothers Burn is what happens when a 60+ year old gets access to some excellent software and decides his next life goal is to produce the next "Speaking In Tongues", "Wild Planet", or "Demon Days".  

That 60+ dude is Austin-based pop-funk-punk-electro-rock producer Scott Osborn, channeling David Byrne, The B-52's, James Brown, Bob Marley & The Wailers and "Weird Al" Yankovic into (typically) fun, approachable numbers.  

Aside from writing about himself in the third-person, Osborn produces electro-pop, dance rock, and the occasional soundtrack.  His music has been a regular part of The Milkshake Boom, a movie-based podcast, and has appeared in indie films.
