4AM NYC is a DJ, producer and educator currently based in Queens, NY. They are a dual citizen of the United Kingdom and the United States: comin up through the fashion underworld of London as a teen; finding their way to the musical motherland of NYC as an adult.
   For over a decade they have served dancefloors the world over: New York, London, Pittsburgh, Detroit and beyond - holding down residencies with their own party series Spiritual Mental Physical at beloved NYC night clubs such as Good Room, Le Bain, and Jupiter Disco. Known as a vinyl assassin like no other, they provide nights of music unbound by genre, dedicated to dancers; ruled by a furious and vivid emotional spectrum. Their delivery is always uncompromising and energizing, passionate and sincere.
   This mix for Deep South ATL is an homage to the era of 'Dream House' that continues to inspire 4AM to this day: the heart-racing sweat-dripping soul-quenching delights of that good deep garage house pouring out of NY, NJ, Chicago and Detroit in the late 80's & 90's. All-vinyl, one-take mix. Recorded on x2 Technics 1200s, and an Omnitronic analog rotary mixer.
   2022 sees 4AM NYC self-releasing original productions long overdue, and continuing their community work in the role of talent booker/'Mutha of the House' at Jupiter Disco, Wednesday-thru-Saturday nights.

Jeffrey Sfire’s introduction to the underground dance scene and illegal warehouse parties of Detroit occurred at the tender age of 15. This escape from suburba led him to some of the city’s most talented DJs and musicians, who soon exposed him to a new culture of creative riches. Learning by example, Sfire’s taste and skills as a DJ developed naturally and he soon began playing out at parties, clubs and sleazy gay afterhours, usually entering covertly through back doors or with a fake ID. A move to Chicago exposed Sfire to a whole other side of dance music history, including “Italo Disco” and genre jumping dj styles of the Hotmix 5 radio djs. He spent afternoons digging through record store crates, meeting retired DJs and developing his musical palette. Having held numerous club residencies, he regularly plays at Panorama Bar and Cocktail D’amore in Berlin, The Carry Nation and Wrecked in New York, Hard French in San Francisco, and his own party Loosen Up! In Detroit, consistently offering a finely-tuned selection of Acid House, Italo Disco, Latin Freestyle, & 90’s NYC House. In 2013 Jeffrey and SOPHIE released the first untitled “Sfire” record on Cocktail d’Amore Music out of Berlin which has become a cult classic. Since then the duo has released 3 more untitled “Sfire” records. He is currently living in Detroit and is one half of the Italo/Electro duo Looky Looky with Ian Clark released on Dark Entries records of San Francisco.

The Carry Nation (Nita Aviance and Will Automagic) are DJs and producers whose style is deeply rooted and fundamentally intertwined with the historical arc of New York City's most affirming nightlife experiences. Nita is a noted member of the legendary House of Aviance. She started DJing around the turn of the millennium and was a resident at the infamous Mr. Black and Westgay, both touchstones for queer artistry and culture in downtown nightlife of the early 2000's. Will has deep roots in NYC club culture, having worked at The Loft and collaborated closely with David Mancuso, holding residencies at many of the downtown New York clubs over the years including The Limelight, Life and Vandam. After dividing his time between NYC and Paris, working on music with fashion houses such as Issey Miyake, Vivienne Westwood and Yves Saint Laurent, Will returned to DJing dance floors when he co-created SPANK with partners Sean B & Jason Roe. What started as a basement dance party evolved into a roving art-based warehouse party along with a namesake zine. SPANK began to work closely with Horse Meat Disco and the close relationship with that crew has extended in various forms through the years into the present.

Currently, Nita and Will perform globally as both individual DJs and, more often, as a duo --they are most recognized for epic extended B2B sets and their wildly successful monthly queer party (also known as The Carry Nation) at Brooklyn's Good Room. Their range is wide and exciting, and in the New York tradition they effortlessly flow through genres and time periods while keeping a modern edge. Since the inception of The Carry Nation, the duo has toured the world extensively including Glastonbury’s Block 9 and Berlin’s Berghain/Panorama Bar among many others. They also have a residency at Ladyfag's flagship monthly Battle Hymn. As producers, their credits include releases and remixes on Get Up Recordings, Classic Music Company, TRIBAL, Nervous, TRAX, Batty Bass, TWIRL, W&O Street Tracks and more. Their latest venture is Major Records, an imprint they co-founded with Justin Cudmore to showcase their Majorettes collaboration with releases that are setting dancefloors alight with a fresh but classic house vibe that stays rooted in the excitement of New York’s history and underground.
