With 10 years in the ‘biz’ firmly under his belt, Jiah Wells is poised to release the first full-length LP of his Galtier project, Pulchra Es Elementis. Whilst Galtier is arguably one of the originators of the percussive style that would eventually fall under the Hard Drum label, the heightened theatrics of his recent output have seen him channel Blade Runner-styled sonics and move further away from absolute club functionality. Whilst Galtier’s output often seems to soundtrack hypothetical, off-planet words, Pulchra Es Elementis turns the focus inwards: towards Wells’ own emotional constellation, his evolving spirituality and his attempts to tap into planes of existence beyond the tangible. The album’s Latin title translates to ‘Elements are Beautiful’ and encapsulates the artist’s belief that there is grace in all of life’s aspects; pushing past what we deem as good or bad, minuscule or massive.

Pulchra Es Elementis begins with Crystalised Larva, a brooding opener of breathy pad synths and expansive kick drums which reverberate through the mix as if the hits originate from the bottom of a valley. There’s an indistinct sense of tension on this track, in part due to a central melody, which never resolves but only descends lower in pitch. This tension turns to explorative wonder on Wilfull Saviour, where a mirage of musical ideas come in and out of focus. Although the sonic worlds Galtier explores are internal to him, Wilfull Saviour still possesses that sense of a cosmic journey we’ve come to expect from Wells; an ardent fan of dystopian films and literature.

Continuing this emotional odyssey, Bruised, But Not Broken sees the artist push deeper into the psychological undergrowth; its murky tonality juxtaposes crisp, Reggaeton-inspired drum patterns with a heavily compressed one-note synth line that modulates wildly - cutting through the mix like a nagging thought that won’t leave your mind. Next up is U Were, U Are & What U Will Be, one of the more club-ready tracks of the LP, which gets us moving with a snarling bassline and layers upon layers of percussive hits and inflections.

At Pulchra Es Elementis’ mid-point is the LP’s title track, a drumless interlude where blissful, shimmering synths create a patchwork of intensities. Galtier’s approach to songwriting shines through here; ignoring musical pragmatics, he opts to feel his way through his compositions without knowing where they might end up. Following on from that weightless breather, Phantasiai turns up the freneticism with its head-spinning mix of drum programming and a glitched-out synth line that yo-yos up and down octaves. Things get even more furious on the Superficie-featuring Cavernam, a hollow Hard Drum banger inspired by Eskibeat sensibilities and designed to create a sense of self-implosion.

The album’s penultimate track, (U Are) Beautiful, is a tale of two halves: beginning with a moment of serenity as synthesizers swell like an ocean tide before evolving into a marching crescendo of raw energy. Rounding off the album, Shine Forth hurtles through pacey drum work and all manner of strange zaps and klaxons before giving way to a final dose of nebulous ambience.

A musical journey unlike any other ‘club music’ albums, Pulchra Es Elementis is an LP that demands to be consumed in one sitting. Reflecting on his place within the universe and the musical landscape, the album could be viewed as a musical exorcism which sees Galtier working through and shedding huge chunks of his ego that stuck to him out of fear of the unknown. Pulchra Es Elementis begins on an insecure, overwhelming or, even, existential note before rounding off with a related sense of vastness seen with new, more positive eyes. It’s a voyage we hope you will join him on.

5 ans après l'EP acclamé "Misericordia", qui signait la bande-son énigmatique, sombre et entêtante du documentaire "Sous le Donjon de Manu Le Malin" en 2017, les deux vétérans français de la scène électronique et rave The Driver (aka Manu Le Malin) et Electric Rescue et présentent leur 3ème EP avec leur duo W.LV.S sur Astropolis Records, avec l’EP ‘Guilty’, quatre titres carnassiers et frénétiques, invitant Louisahhh sur un featuring, Tommy Four Seven sur un remix (et la nouvelle sensation rave Cuften avec un remix sur la version digitale).
L’EP s’ouvre avec "Guilty", une montée en puissance martelée d'échos métalliques et industriels avec un vocal sombre qui nous plonge dans un univers post-apocalyptique.
"The Pit" invite la voix charismatique et fantomatique de la new-yorkaise Louisahhh. Un titre techno frénétique et puissant hanté par le chant hypnotique et glacial de Louisahhh, scandant un poème qu'elle a écrit. Une fusion unique de techno et de spoken word. Née d'un poème techno féroce, cette collaboration entre le légendaire duo français W.LV.S et l’univers punk de Louisahhh, agit comme une prière galvanisante, un phare sur le dancefloor, un cri dans l'abîme, un éclat d'espoir. "The Pit" est le point de départ après deux ans de confinement, de silence, de séparation. 
L'intensité s'accélère avec le titre "Orca", un hymne puissant et tranchant entre techno galopante et influences hardcore.
Le dernier titre est un remix de la référence majeure de la scène techno internationale, le producteur britannique Tommy Four Seven, pour un remix incisif de "Guilty”,  tandis que la version digital comprend un remix bonus du jeune artiste récemment pris en accompagnement par Astropolis, Cuften, nouveau venu de la scène rave signé sur le grand label Planet Phuture de Marc Acardipane, qui remixe le titre "Orca" avec sa vision analogique et rétro de l'électro.
L’artwork est signé Dunes Studios, à partir d’une photo d’Yves de Orestis capturée en Bretagne, à la quête des loups et de paysages dénués de toute trace humaine, d’où se dégage un sentiment de calme et d’étrange, pour retranscrire au mieux l’univers de W.LV.S.

Monnom Black presents Umwelt's new studio album “Dead Eyes Society”, a stunning piece of work and the culmination of 30 years of artistic refinement. Umwelt is a truly rare underground electronic artist in the world of Techno and is without doubt one of the most important and prolific French electronic producers of a generation. A techno activist since the 90’s boasting over 50 releases to date. Throughout his career he has crafted a pure analog, unmistakable, signature sound, mixing dark, cinematic melancholy with the electro-techno grit he is so renowned for.

The sound of the album is influenced by late 90’s and early 00’s techno contrasted with an avant-garde approach to recording and sound design. Throughout the album Umwelt lays down beautiful grooves and his space techno melodies in uncompromising fashion, blended with classic synthwork and run through his famous analog outboard chains. With “Dead Eyes Society” Umwelt has crafted his most powerful techno album to date and solidified himself as an exceptional artist
and titanic figure of modern electronic music.

[GiB007] FLUCC - Sawblade Screams And A Butterfly’s Dream

With his debut album “Sawblade Screams And A Butterfly’s Dream” FLUCC delivers a 15 track LP of introspective alternative hard dance music. The release is a genre defying journey through the tense, yet beautiful landscape of heart soothing synths and ear piercing drums. FLUCC brings together influences from Hardcore, Drum and Bass/Jungle, Techno, Trance and Ambient Music for a manifesto of his sound that aims to resonate beyond the dance floor. 

The LP is an appeal to the experimental and unconventional side of hardcore techno. The tracks invite an open minded and empowering ethos and to challenge the often rigid and hypermasculine norms of the mainstream. They are for all the gabber fairies and dance floor goblins, from my heart to yours, to listen, to dance and to feel.

The idea for “Walking On Moon Rocks” was put down on the train from Amsterdam back to Berlin. It is one of my personal favourites from the release for the bell-like metallic melancholy in the break that switches into a hard drop.

The tracks were created during joint sessions between 2020 and 2021, and reimagined in 2025.
This release is a subtle homage to trip-hop rhythms and slow, reflective electronics.
It’s a meditation on time, change, and the continuity of the creative process.

“Spine” is a game of contrasts—a balance between restrained aggression and fluid motion. At its core lies a deep, dynamic groove, rooted in slow hip-hop influences yet constantly evolving. Synthetic textures wrap around the rhythmic backbone, forming a dense, organic structure. But just as the track finds its equilibrium, it abruptly shifts—layers of synthesis unravel, making way for a powerful 808 bass, tearing through layers of noise and distortion. In that moment, the track erupts, unleashing its full energy into the low frequencies.

“Frozen Artery” follows a different path. It opens with a crystalline pulse, steady yet restless, moving like a current beneath the surface. IDM textures gradually recede into the background, while the main melody floods the space, like blood coursing through an artery. In its final moments, the melody dissolves completely, morphing into a dense, melodic drone that absorbs the remaining rhythm.

Time has only sharpened their sound.

Monnom Black will mark its 17th release with its first various artist compilation presented on triple vinyl. Keeping with the label’s modus operandi, the compilation is packed with iconic, raw and uncompromising techno, featuring 13 artists new and old to the imprint, including a re-release of a classic Drax aka Thomas P. Heckmann track from 1993. 

To coincide with the launch of the compilation, Monnom Black will hold its first highly-anticipated label party. Locking arms with the notorious underground Dutch promoters Reaktor, known for their challenging events and pushing the boundaries of what techno has to offer. Together they will celebrate with an electronic onslaught on New Year’s Eve in Amsterdam’s Elementstraat Warehouse. A location cut to the bone that perfectly encapsulates the label and promoters combined vision and ethos.

Dax J curates the night fusing the label together for a special moment in time, with the titan warehouse opening up two of its rooms hosting a monster line up with the likes of CJ Bolland, Regis as CUB, Thomas P. Heckmann, I Hate Models, UVB, Stranger, Zanias, Cressida, Inhalt Der Nacht, Raffaele Attanasio, Tommy Holohan and Remco Beekwilder.
