The Christys started forming as a band 6 Million years ago, when an asteroid struck the yucatan peninsula killing off all the dinosaurs. At this time they were known just as "The Mammals". These industrious little milk-drinkers saw the opportunity to rise triumphantly from the leaf litter to make pyramids and cars and cigarettes and denim jackets and then, eventually, to make heart-aching foot-tapping music.  They stood upright and became "The Christys".
