Poetry of the Day After

There are days when you are overcome by melancholy and need to reflect on what is really important in life. It was the same with Aquamarine. This piece emerged from a small idea on the Rodes piano, followed by drums, guitar and bass. No samples, everything recorded live and always in one piece. 80 bpm is already a challenge and so this piece of music simply gets a somewhat bulky and at the same time flowing mysticism through the playing. The moment was captured perfectly. Not slick and midi-slick, but pure playing. Simply honest music. Katrin, the woman at my side, loved it immediately and found herself in it. It's maybe messed up a little by the MixCraft 10.6 global effect i chose at the very last minute with like 20 minutes to go: but just approach it like "We're in the late 70's at a Jarre concert in France and we're way at the farthest worst seating in the venue and theres crappy echo on everything. LFG!"  Approached in that way and now after a few hearings I am starting to be more forgiving of it.
