PRESENTING THE FIRST TRACK I'VE EVER MASTERED MYSELF*

*Well, sorta. @tonileys walked me through literally the entire process for 2 straight hours, after which I compared my raw export to his before calling it done.

Whatever - I'm still counting it as a win!

This is the Boss Music (I think) for Ys VIII - Lacrimosa of DANA, which is coming out this coming Tuesday. I couldn't get enough of this tune after playing the demo, so I did what I always do and remixed it. And I'm still not tired of it after a few hundred listens :)

First songwriting assignment at school: Write a song centered around a simple 4 chord progression.

Was initially 2a03-only but the last chorus needed an extra element and decided to throw in the vrc6 right at the end. As always, the title is simply two words I threw together.

Hello and welcome to the remix of the title theme from Retro Game Audio.  My name is STEVE.  And this is OPM! 

The original theme to RGA was from my album LISTENCORE VOL I and was done in 2a03+VRC6.  Being that RGA is in its 3rd season now, I felt it might be time to "update" the theme to some of the newer chips we've discovered during the RGA journey.  This version was composed in Deflemask and recorded directly from hardware (Panasonic FS-A1WSX using vgm_play by grauw off SFG-05 OPM module).

I remixed this song... AGAIN, after 5 years.

Yeah I released a remix for the main theme of the first pokemon games in February 2014, all the way down this Soundcloud profile. I was just starting to learn audio stuff. Now I can say I work professionally making music for videogames, but I still enjoy making things like this just for fun!

I'm not gonna get into the details,
but you can blame my producer for that.

My producer doesn't REALLY write this kind of music...
