Neptune's Universe

The short yet fast paced Juggernaut metal track we wrote in 4 hours while rehearsing for the second time together at Station 13 Studios in Brisbane.  The track comes out swinging had has a number cool key changes and time signature changes during the song

Station 13

Wavelength was written a while a go by the band and was to be part of the first album but never made the cut.  The song was re-recorded and played much nicer with the tracks for this album.  The song was originally called Epic and remained that way for a number of years until early 2014.

This tracks initial chord progression and structure was thought out by our guitarists while out on walk.  Took it to rehearsal and this long progressive number was born.  Contains a number of cool key changes and jazz influenced chord uses giving you the impression of "Unusual Conversations"

Unusual Conversations

We wanted a meaty, jump out of the box and smash you in the face number.  Unforeseen Consequences was born.  Part two to Unusual Conversations, this song was meant to have the same kind of progressiveness as the others.  A huge sounding track, also has a number of key changes and cool time signature bits like a nice subtle 13/8 middle section.

Combining elements of Jazz fusion, progressive, metal and other types of experimental types music and strange/avant-garde writing techniques, The Cilikis has been a band for over 10 years and has evolved into the unit it has now. 
The Cilikis is for those who look for instrumental music with a twist.   We like to write our music in such a way that one could say, tries to take a musical road less traveled by others.
