To end the year in style, The Clamps is delivering a new 6 tracks EP on Kosenprod.
Starting with the title track "All For Us", he brings us in a dark and dystopian world, while "After The Sun" takes us in an emotionnal solar storm.
Then, he turns down a bit the BPM on “Now Can’t You See”, in collaboration with brand new project Jaḍāna, in a fusion with breakbeat jungle and blues jazz.
"Echo Of Time" continues in a modern and cold atmosphere, to be warmed by "Heart Of Tomorrow", which pushes us in a bass deflagration teinted of Rave vibes.
To finish, he closes the Ep with "My Life" in featuring LiL_V1sion where Techno meets Drum & Bass artifacts.

The single is called “Conviction” it is a modern and forward sounding no nonsense neurofunk banger. Forbidden Society Recordings presents ''Prophets Of The Doom Remixes Part 1'' this remix pack contains some of the Forbidden Society cuts reworked by some masters within the genre. The release opens with a hypnotizing ''The Clamps'' remix of the label anthem ''Street Justice''. The staggering drums work great with the bassline and intrusive synth blips. The emotive ambiance that is introduced throughout makes for a great alternation. Second up is signature snare-man ''Donny'' who delivers a banging reword of Forbidden Society's BWM. Hardcore Drum & Bass music at it's finest,  it's all about the drums in this one. South African duo ''Counterstrike'' come up with a remix for ''Sellout''. This is a peak time rework, placing the emphasis on top notch drum-breaks and some funked out elements that  should strike a chord with lovers of the label. Hallucinator are reworking the ever so dark ''NYC Punk''. This fast paced theme is pumped up a notch with great care for the original. Label regular ''Katharsys'' does an adventurous reword of 'Skullcrawler' which stands out in originality. The pack is finished by S9 who creates havoc with his tremendous ''Outlaw'' remix. The second part of his 'Odyssey LP' sampler packages comes in the form of both 'Looking for Trouble' featuring the notorious Nuklear MC and 'LHS 1140b', which highlight the LP's versatility whilst also engineering two darkly atmospheric cuts which pull you into the sound which The Clamps is renowned for.

If you're a frequent visitor of the international DJing circuit, you're sure to have heard the sampler's A-side 'Looking For Trouble'. It's a destructive call to arms, one which bares its sonic artillery but first rolls out on strung-out note patterns, a rolling soundscape and an intro which pulls you up an intimidating breakdown. As the track catapults into its first immersive plunge, you're taken for the ride and each constructed hook grabs at you with an intimidating snarl, alongside Nuklear's growling lyricism. 'LHS 1140b' is just as gripping but in its own way, with a heavily distorted bassline and crashing drum sequences which create an effortlessly driving single. This is a secondary sampler proving that The Clamps forthcoming album is a force to be reckoned with. It also pedestals the type of diversity which he's historically championed for, although this can only be expected from an artist who's devoted himself to his craft for such an expansive time frame.

The forthcoming LP from The Clamps and Kosen Productions isn’t just a collection of records which the French artist has spent months perfecting. It’s also a colossal look into the soundscape which such a high-calibre artist has at their disposal. Stretching across fifteen tracks, between drum & bass and garage, The Clamps focuses around the insanity that is stretching itself across the contemporary world and how he’s helped to define this sonically through each one of his records. There’s also a host of sci-fi inspired cuts which add to the LP’s explosive themes. From the already revealed record ‘LHS 1140b’, with a name that’ll resonate for any space fans, right through to the hard-hitting throws of ‘End of an Era’, there’s a taste to suit every palette throughout every expertly composed record. 

After already setting an enviable standard with the undeniably heavyweight standards on tracks like ‘Looking for Trouble’ alongside the notorious Nuklear MC, standalone offerings such as ‘Mankind’ and ‘30a #3a-23 Happiness’ peddle an unforgettable level of engineering whilst also pushing through a cinematic backdrop. Then a range of collaborations follow in their wake, including ‘Astronauts’ alongside Impak, as well as Snotrocket for ‘Friends in the Hood’. Merikan also joins the fray with ‘Fast Way’. 

The pace is continued to be set with ‘Cattle Mutilation’, whilst Mizo and The Clamps join forces for the meticulously sequenced drums of ‘Time Pressure’. ‘Medina’ pulls you through its half-time madness whilst adding to the LP’s strident versatility, which is followed in quick succession by ‘Soul of the Abyss’ with its throbbing LFOs. The Clamps and NickBee then merge their collective talents for ‘Addicted’, with its more old-school underpinnings. ‘The First and the Last’ platforms the creeping atmospherics which characterises many pieces of The Clamps’ sonic artillery, whilst ‘End of an Era’ draws the album to a close on a cataclysmic breakdown which takes you deep into the belly of the beast. ‘End of an Era’ alludes to The Clamps’ hardcore roots, whilst paying homage to the new foundations he’s laid down through his new music and Kosen Productions.

The Clamps, born Julien Carbou, is a French Drum & Bass producer and DJ established in Toulouse. Since starting his music career through several musical projects in the late 90s, he has become known for his unique and heavy sound that blends elements of Drum & Bass, Techno, and Industrial Music.

With a string of releases on respected labels such as Trendkill Records, Kosen Production and Eatbrain, The Clamps has established himself as a prominent figure in the Drum & Bass scene. His music is characterized by its intricate sound design, intense energy, and expertly crafted basslines that have earned him a dedicated following.

With a discography spanning over a decade, The Clamps continues to push the D&B boundaries and remains a significant force in the genre. His music is celebrated for its raw energy, technical precision, and forward-thinking approach, making him a must-see act for fans of the genre.
