What box do you check? This episode features five different voices, all coming from different cultural and ethnic identities, telling their stories from inside of the Brown Space. 

Job applications, medical documentation, and many government forms ask us to define our race and ethnicity according to predetermined and often narrow categories. For many of us, there isn’t a box that fits our identities, and so we end up trying to cram ourselves into categories that don’t describe us accurately. In this episode, our team shares their personal experiences navigating the space between Black and White identities using the ever so familiar race and ethnicity checkboxes as a starting point.
