this is a live recording from an extended session when I was invited to play at Digbeth Dining Club in Birmingham. 

I wanted to recreate this and condense it into a couple of hours at home but I never got round to it so here it is in its unedited glory.

It's very much a gentle and laid back affair however, later on, when the punters' food had settled and the margaritas had kicked in I managed to fit in some toe tapping belters towards the end.

Grzegorz is the first member of the collective to present his selection. It is also his debut mix available online, as he is always more keen on feeling the vibe in the club. With the clock ticking in hand, in exactly an hour he takes us on a bumpy-rhythm ride with an acid in his mind. Let's GO then!

Electronic music producer based in Zurich, Switzerland. In 1992 he started to produce music on his self-founded labels No Acting Vibes and Moto Music. Specialized in using a variety of analogue synthesizers and pedal effects, Dan Piu’s productions were known for analogue sounds.

The mix complication is focused on some of Dan's most underground, underrated and forgotten old-school rarities.

You'll notice that some tracks are louder on one side than the other, Dan told us it's from a mini Album released in 1991 which he used and it appears that this record was stamped unbalanced. 

"The whole selection is very underground‘ish and I recorded it through my Urei 1620 mixer, it's dirty but very warm." - Dan

Alexander Francis is a vinyl enthusiast and dj who’s been part of the Brussels club music landscape for over a decade. Two years ago he decided to concentrate on what he loves best: playing deep, quirky sounds designed for intimate dancefloors, and renamed himself francis99 to mark the turning point. Inspired by the rich and diverse Brussels scene, his style echoes years of listening to a wide variety of musical styles, digging and playing records with friends at parties or during all-night home sessions.
After having hosted the Beyond club nights at Fuse with Pierre, Handless Dj and Walrus, you can now find francis99 on Kiosk Radio, at C12 or playing alongside his pals from Basic Moves.
While clubs are still closed as we wait for the waves of covid-19 to break, this bright mix pays homage to some of francis99’s all-time favourites, shares recent findings and showcases newer music from both local and international friends.

The Clock is Ticking is a group of friends seeking for musical delights. Our mutual sound journey began years ago, far away from club rhythms, but it is the electronic sound that ignited the passion.

Since our beginnings at the decks we serve you multidimensional and hard-to-classify artists, never looking at the genre or the release date. Within the project, we’ll be sharing both our favourite new records as well as those dug out of quite dusty shelves of obscure vinyl stores. However, one can always expect it will be music that moves both your imagination and body to dance.

The Clock is Ticking to grupa przyjaciół szukająca muzycznych zachwytów. Wspólną dźwiękową eskapadę zaczęliśmy wiele lat temu z dala od klubowych rytmów, jednak to elektroniczne brzmienia rozpaliły naszą pasję.

Od początku przygody za dekami serwujemy wam wykonawców wielowymiarowych i trudnych do zaklasyfikowania, nie patrząc na gatunek czy rok wydania.
W ramach projektu będziemy dzielić się zarówno wydawnictwami nowymi, jak i tymi znalezionymi na mocno przykurzonych półkach z czarnymi płytami. Zawsze jednak będzie to muzyka, która porusza jednocześnie wyobraźnię i nogi do tańca.
