still rough and i know the mix off the top is bad and bassy and mid-rangey. haha i'll fix it up!  All in all a really nice emotional track, one of my faves!

Ukrainian label resident Tom Strobe is back with a brand new 2-track downtempo EP, "In Your Eyes".

"Beautiful Day" takes off with blissful harmonies and soothing percussion elements. Numerous sound effects spice up the soundscape as the song progresses, and the memorable theme lead is a wonderful addition to the atmosphere. The title track begins with an array of lovely pad lines that quickly form an outstanding soundscape. A subtle, yet gorgeous lead synth plays extremely well with the underlying percussion stems and captivating sound effects.

The Cogent Project is the experimental side project of Film and TV composer Adam Lastiwka.  It was meant as an outlet to create electronic music that wouldn't really fit into the framework of an episodic drama or feature film, but later turned into a nearly full time venture in to sound design and musical experimentation. 

 Although the tones of various synthesizers are called upon often, the directive has now shifted to favouring foley and sound design elements that are then processed to create organic-synth like textures and rhythms.  The goal has always been to create something familiar, yet fresh. The use of regular household objects and other various strangely designed and generally non-musical objects to create musical results has often accommodated this idea.
