THE GREAT SLICK SILVER CONTEST OF 2023 entry (real)

Asgore is like, one of my favorite Undertale characters, and the fact that BelowExchange was one of the valid AUs to make an entry on solidified an Asgore theme as my entry. I'm a wee bit hard of hearing right now so mixing is even more ass than usual, but I did my best. I wanted to capture Asgore's essence in this song since despite taking Toriel's role, he's still the same Asgore we all know. A guy with a big heart, but he's not a pushover because of it. He'll fight hard to make sure you're ready for what's ahead, because if you aren't strong enough to take a life if need be, he can't bear to let you go, even if it has to be his life you take to learn that lesson. He hates fighting, but he knows he has to at some point, so this theme tries to capture that. It's not as climatic as ASGORE, but it's not supposed to be.

Another old TOP concept I believe I helped Vesperr and Hodgepodge with...? The idea was that since Noelle and Seam swap, the Rude Buster equivalent would use her motifs in it - which plays awfully well into the fact that they have a habit of quoting Gaster's Theme, like the freedom motifs do. Wish we could've finished this, but, oh well. What's done is done.
