I Hated Being Young - A song about hating being young

I wrote this song for an album by The Reactionaries (https://soundcloud.com/thereactionaries). That album has not come out yet. I wrote it the lyrics in the rain by the sea. The seagulls and sea you can hear on the track were recorded at Dungeness. The song is about how I felt when approaching my 30th birthday which I found liberating in a way I hadn't expected to.

One of my best and oldest friends Alex decided that he given what he could get out of the files as they came to him that he actually preferred the rough demo I made, which he has treated and added to. He said "it sounds like a 1995 bright eyes demo".

Fall All Over - A song about anxiety and love

I wrote this song near the tail end of my old band Apples for Everyone. It's about not being able to sleep in an empty bed when you are full of anxiety and you just want to have someone beside you. It's also a love song.

Muzikal Azylum (who was one of the two producers who joined the original line-up of Apples for Everyone) took that song and made it into this. This track is very different to his usual techno style.

Spiral - A song about why I won't be having kids

I wrote this song between Christmas 2012 and New Year 2013. It's about the qualities I have inherited through nature and nurture and my decision to break this cycle fully. 

Martin Zaltz Austwick who makes music as The Sound Of The Ladies took that song and made it into this.

This is a cover of  Halo by Beyonce 

This song has become something that (for me) sums up where my relationship with my partner is after 13 years, my interpretation of the song is about becoming more and more honest with each other, responding to each others kindness and working through problems together as about love.

Talk to your parents - early demo

A clip of my dad reading The Lord of the Rings taken from a radio play I wrote at university, containing music written by Alexander Cameron.

Theoden's Death

During this time of mourning his passing I've come across so many bits and pieces that remind me of bits and pieces of my dad's life. This clip was found by George who played bass in Apples for Everyone, a band that both my dad and me were a part of. Dad usually videoed the band but when we went away to write songs in Norfolk everyone in the band was involved in creating songs. This was one of the moments that dad was on the mic. Listening to it made me remember a brilliant time that was very very dear to my dad's heart. He had never really been involved in making music before, and being a part of that intensive time of creativity opened some doors into new areas of creativity he hadn't experienced before. The clip is also pretty funny and weird.
