We were talking about all of the new "bathroom bills" that are being introduced around the country and were looking at pictures of #trans people taking bathroom selfies. These are AJ's thoughts on being trans and using the bathroom.

AJ's thoughts on bathrooms

Debi Jackson spent 20 years in the corporate world, working on advertising and marketing campaigns for not-for-profit organizations and international businesses. Since her youngest child has come out as transgender, she has applied her communication skills to LGBT advocacy work, emphasizing acceptance of transgender children by their families. 

She is frequently invited to speak to churches, LGBT organizations, and schools and has been a participant on panels discussing issues faced by transgender individuals in the legal, medical and social services environments.

Debi has been interviewed many times for print, radio, TV, and live webcasts to give voice to what transgender children and their family's experience.

She is now serving as president of her local PFLAG chapter with the main goal of bringing their "Safe Schools: Cultivating Respect Program" to every middle and high school in her metro area.
