Every once in a while, Life ties your ankles to a block of concrete and drops you into the middle of the ocean. As you slowly start to sink, you are aware of the only two choices available to you; Sink or Swim. 
Choose to Sink and you are destined to lie on the bottom of the ocean floor, slowly voiding your body of life. There you lay for the rest of eternity, gone and forgotten.
Choose to Swim on the other hand and its a whole different story! Breaking free from the dense weight marked with your demise, you are now engaged in a fight for your life. Every stroke of your arms and legs expires the oxygen in lungs and with a vertical mile left to go you’re forced to push your body as far as it can go. As your head breaks the surface and your lungs flood with air you are alive. The whole experience causes you to cherish the things you take for granted and to push harder for the things you wish to achieve. And thus is the start of The Diamond Hope.
Dee started the band in January 2014. Armed with a guitar, a notebook and a new found burning in his heart, he started writing songs with the sole purpose of proving that his decision to swim was the best decision he ever made.
Dee quickly drafted in long time friend Lucy to play bass and searched high and low to find the drummer he so desperately desired, he found Harry and the line up was complete.
The band started crafting Dee’s ideas into catchy, gritty songs that compel listeners to dance, sing and be merry. After months of rigorous rehearsals, The Diamond Hope are starting to take their show to the people.
After the departure of Lucy, the band were left frantically searching for someone to fill her shoes. After a few auditions they found the metaphorical foot they were looking for. It was attached to Brendon and by God did he know what to do with it!
This band has life. It has soul. It has………. well, it has a third thing too?! If you don’t do anything else this year, do this one thing; CHECK THEM OUT!!!
