For this episode, I'm very happy to introduce you to a BC duo: Naturalist. I first came across them from their excellent mix series and they've quickly become some of my favourite DJs in the BC interior. Their mix is a beautiful mix of melodies and worldly influences. 

"We were really excited about the opportunity to do this mix because it allowed us to dive into a deeper sound than we are used to. The idea was to bring to life the joys of being in nature. We tried to dive down a new path, while still incorporating our natural sounds. "

Naturalist Bio
Naturalist is made up of two music lovin' brothers, Sam Moffat and Caleb Brown from Fernie BC.

Don't let their last names confuse you, these brothers are known for bringing good vibes and their fun and energetic stage presence will make you want to join the fun just as much as their music does. They each bringing a unique style to the turntables and their live sets are made up of various styles of feel good house and disco bangers that come together to create a sound they call ‘Space Disco.’

2019 has been their breakthrough year and after winning the Kootenay Music Awards ‘Artist Of The Year’ they shared their sound to the largest crowd they have ever played for at The Living Room Stage at Shambhala.

The future looks bright for these boys, and they are ready to run with it.

DTR brings an infectious, positive, and loving presence to the dance floor that gets everybody smiling and moving! From day parties in the dust at Burning Man to NYC night clubs to warehouses in NOLA, DTR sets the stage for unforgettable parties with a warm and welcoming deep/house sound and vibe. 

DTR has also been part of the Burning Man collective "Big Puffy Yellow" since 2004, and has help to curate the lineup for the infamous "Yellow Party" for years.  

DTR is a part of the Quality Control NYC crew which has held a monthly party celebrating deep, underground house, and techno in New York City for years.
