This is an 8-bit cover of the ending sequence song for Sonic 2.

Sonic 2 Ending 8-bit (VRC6)

A bit of a somber track but also one with a bit of a swing. This one has some reversed tracks and lots of echo as well as a definite melody line throughout the song. Lots of reverb and delay adds to the depth of the sound. It also has a distinct FM bassline.

Endless Rain

This is one I started working on with my Roland JX-03. It is a bit more laid back and peaceful than some of my other songs and is also slower, tempo-wise. It makes use of synth layering and lots of delay and reverb to make the sound more rich.

Spaced Out

This one is a smooth, electric piano-driven song that I started working on way back in 2017 but have been steadily contributing to since then. The overall theme of the song is fairly simple but I think it works well.

* This song was conceived and mostly recorded long before I owned an actual TX7 so I was still using the Dexed VST at the time.

Laid Back

This a funky one, sounding like late 80s/early 90s hip hop, with a bit of a swing to it. The song has a main analog synth riff that plays while FM chords play in the background to a sequenced drum beat.

Catch This Funk

This is one of my few songs that actually started as an idea rather than simply a chord progression or a melody. The idea of this song was reminiscing. Thinking back to the days of the past when times were simpler and things were easier. I think I captured that idea well with the lush, layered, dreamy synth chords throughout the song and the slow, steady pace.

This is a collection of 8-bit songs I have made over the past few years. This includes both original songs and remixes. As always, I made them from scratch in FamiTracker (e.g. no GXSCC), so they are true to the original NES' capabilities.

This is a "bad future" (a la Sonic CD) remix of Perilous Paradise. This is also older, so it's probably not as good as my current work.

Perilous Paradise "Bad Future" Remix

This one is another synthwave-esque track that makes use of my Behringer Model D in the melody and the bass. It also has very thick layered chords, giving it a bit of depth. This track makes me think of driving down a street, neon lights shining on either side of the road, which is where I got the title!

Neon Way

Basically this is a slower and differently-mixed version of Spaced Out that has been dubbed to a cassette tape, with almost a bit of a Vaporwave sound to it. Let me know what you think of the effect! I may use it more in future songs if you guys like it! :)

This track is one I've been working on for a few months. It really embraces the synthwave feel, with fast synth basses and thick synth chords as well as a very prominent drum machine rhythm section.

DSC (Digital Serial Communication)

This one is a funky one that I started composing back at the end of January. I started out with an electric piano riff, a synth bassline, and worked my way forward with that.

This one goes back to the days of 1980s Post Disco, Italo Disco, and even City Pop (which directly inspired the style in many ways). I hope you enjoy it!

City Night

Another song I started earlier in 2020 but have been slowly adding things to ever since I started. This one reminds me of a 1980s synth power ballad of sorts but has a slightly melancholic feel to it, almost like someone wandering the cold city streets at night.

Cold Streets

A bit of a departure from my normal style, more of a house-ish EDM track that started out as a test of a new synthesizer (Kawai K1) and a new drum machine (Korg Volca Beats). The style and chords made me think of the expanse of space, leading to the title.
