From the album Aural Histories Of The Jovian Survey - Book V by The Elderbranch Campaign. Aural Histories Of The Jovian Survey - Book V, their 8th full-length release, is the fifth in a continuing series of interpretive soundscapes chronicling a future mission to search for life on Europa, and explore Jupiter's other moons. It takes up where Book IV left off, and covers the team's studies on Callisto, as they delve deeper into the history of the Denisovan branch of Homo sapiens. As the mystery of their existence in the Jovian system deepens, the team is left with an overwhelming reverence for the tenacity and persistence of life itself.
Stylistically and musically the album follows in the footsteps of Books I - IV, with synths, found objects and highly processed field recordings creating complex and vivid audio sculptures that act as soundtracks for the mind. ABSOLUTELY BEST EXPERIENCED OVER HEADPHONES. Released 28 December 2013

The Elderbranch Campaign is an experimental dark ambient industrial collaboration between American musician G M Slater (Eris and Dysnomia, 12 Frozen Radios, Occurrences In Rain) and U.K. musician Stephen Surreal ne Rook (~UNUNE~ , Agony for Pleasure, Spitune). They are known for long conceptual works that weave synths, found objects and highly processed field recordings into complex and vivid audio sculptures that act as soundtracks for the mind. Their music is best enjoyed over headphones. Slater and Surreal ne Rook began collaborating after discovering each others music on Last.FM and offering each other comments and advice. Their first album - Soundtracks For Departure, and their second album - Soundscapes Of The Weathered were both released in 2012. Their third album - Sonology Of The Ground was released in March 2013, followed up by Aural Histories Of The Jovian Survey - Book I in April 2013, Aural Histories Of The Jovian Survey - Book II in May 2013, Aural Histories Of The Jovian Survey - Book III in August 2013, Aural Histories Of The Jovian Survey - Book IV in September 2013, Aural Histories Of The Jovian Survey - Book V in December 2013, Audio Chronicles Of The Drumhead in April 2014 and Soundtracks For The Aftermath Of Violence in April 2015.
