Kevin D'Orion - In The Shadows (The Mix)

Orion | Kevin D'Orion | Technomutanté | Sleevhart (Just 'Cause Productions - Sydney/Byron Bay). Est 1994. 

Orion (aka Sleevhart, Kevin D'Orion) has been playing to underground dancefloors since 1994. As Just 'Cause Productions, he hosted some of Sydneys most memorable underground events such as the infamous Forbidden Fruit parties which were held on Mardi Gras night in '97, '98 and '99 and were widely regarded as some of the best productions of the time. Just 'Cause was also behind The Acid Faction series which had a cult-like following and purveyed the harder sounds of purest techno and acid.  

Soon after his move to Byron Bay in 2001, he hosted the Fusion series of parties and Booty Sessions at The Carpark/C-Moog and more recently after a 6yr hiatus, delivered Systematic with Kangding Ray (Berlin) at Jacks Bar and the wildly successful 'In The Shadows' in Jan 2016 with Dasha Rush (Berlin) in the hills outside Main Arm and the Resonate series.

Kevin has played alongside and hosted many old & new school underground heros. The Advent, Luke Slater, Kangding Ray, Dasha Rush, Claude Young, Koxbox and more. His sets have featured at Earthcore, Burning Seed, Triple Treat, Octopuses Garden, Deliverance, Groove (Byron Bay), Happy Valley, SWARM, many Vibe Tribe related events, Jungle Punks and of course, all Just 'Cause events. 

Better known for purest banging techno sets and a penchant for 3 deck vinyl mayhem, he also serves up everything from Chicago and Detroit inspired deep house, Detroit ghetto-tech, minimal and acid grooves, to multi-layered electro slammers.
