'Alright Go' is the lead track from the Heavy Feelings' new 'Anatomy' EP, released 20th December 2024. The EP was recorded in Chicago (Altered States) and Bristol (guitarist Ben’s house) and mixed at Axe & Trap Studios in Somerset by Ben Scott Turner (Part Chimp, Hey Colossus, Holy Scum, Wolfer). Drummer Rob Ellis (PJ Harvey, Anna Calvi, Bat For Lashes, Torres) contributes to ‘Alright Go’ and ‘Conveyor’. Finally it was mastered by Shawn Joseph at Optimum Mastering.

A new composition...something a bit different. My observations, thoughts and feelings about the madness of a tyrannical king.

Lyrics:

The house is burning down, it’s a hell of a sight
Flames dance like shadows, claiming the night
The mad king’s laughter echoes, a notes in the air
He throws a spark at innocence, doesn’t seem to care

All the worlds on fire, and we’re standing in the smoke
While the puppets pull the strings, making money from the choke
A crooked empire built on sorrow and despair
And we watch it all unravel with our heads in the snare

He walks with a swagger, breathing flames with his pride
A dark soul sits beside him, like a ghost in his stride
Petty grievances weigh heavy, like crowns on their heads
While the court jesters cheer on, dancing 'round the dread

And as the city crumbles, what of love and dreams
They’re lost in the ashes, or so it seems
Will we rise from the ruins, can we find what’s true
Or are we all just players in a madman’s view

So, take my hand, my friend, let’s dance through the flames
Find a spark of kindness in this dark, twisted game
We’ll draw our own path through the chaos and the sound
And rise like phoenixes when this madness comes down
