'When one dreams, even if they don’t remember it, do we call them unconscious? Perhaps we do. But the brain is still active; it still thinks, creates and interprets imagery. Sometimes the world of dreams and the realm of conscious experience merge. The notion of a strict dividing line is a bit of rich for me. This piece is intended to elucidate my feelings on the matter. My sister is doing a drawing every day for 100 days and decided to frame her daily drawing around my song and the theme.'

'I made this piece late at night, in one quick take, recorded live onto tape. To me, a synesthesic is quite literally the ineffable topic. Rolling synthesisers and baselines leaving me with a frequency painting in my head that I cannot describe no matter how hard I try.'

'The sketch for this track was written whilst away on holiday. Alone on the laptop late in the night and quite close to nature, the mood was quite peaceful and so is the resulting idea. Alone at that time of late night, when everything is at a standstill is just about my favorite time. There's a mood of mystery or wonder, something indescribable by words, for me at least but might be expressed with sound. If a picture holds a thousand words music must hold quantum-ly more!
Regardless of my rambling here the quintessence of this late night mood (sober or not) I'd say is quite ineffable..'

Chapter 16 Ineffable

'When you spend 20 plus hours working on a piece over a number of days/weeks/months, sitting in each evening after work listening/watching to the same thing over and over, editing, making small tweaks, they start to soundtrack that specific time period. Each of these tracks bring back memories of a house or city, or specific time, maybe the smell of an apartment, what job I had then, the sound of the city or countryside, the light in my bedroom, friends who were around when I recorded them, etc etc. Loads of small but concrete memories that come back when watching/listening to them, ineffable experiences because there are so many factors, hundreds of small memories working together. And then as soon as they’re listened back to, they paint such strong reminders in my mind. Listed below are the places and times these pieces were created.
