As a career creative, Adey's early start dates as far back as 1993,  starting with a first tour with his family ensemble at the age of 11. This drove him to develop a deeper understanding of music curating and its various facets.

A mentor to many young up and coming artists, Adey co-founded in 2009 his first musical trio called “The Fridge” in South Africa, and also curated South African artist, Bongy Mvuyana’s first album “DOPAMINE”. After moving back to Nigeria in 2015, he re-established Skata Vibration, an Afro-psychedelic rock band that toured locally and performed internationally. In 2018, Adey co-produced The A.A.A Project with Nigerian alternative meastro, Brymo after having produced Brymo’s first all live studio recording single, “Do you know me” the year before.

Adey is also an accomplished curator of exhibitions and events, including one that was viewed in over 36 countries in Africa and another that gave a platform to two South Africa Music Award (SAMA) nominees and winners - Bongeziwe Mabandla, The Muffinz and Samthing Soweto. His unique methodology, combines his insights and strengths from different artistic tilts, for a signature style and vision, spread across music, fashion, cinematography and styling. 

In 2020, Adey Omotade -after all his contributions to music both internationally and locally- decided that it was finally time to go solo. This instrumental project which he has been researching and experimenting with for 10years, incorporates snippets of live recorded chants from his Yoruba spiritual traditions with extraction of archival Yoruba music dating back to the 30s. With this album, he has carved out his own style; genre of sound that is unboxed and stands in its own uniqueness, making it accessible to all interested in connecting to their roots.
