It was February, 14, 2009, I was staying alone at my place, hating the persons who had set the lovers' day, and, thus, made me feel like a lonely loser. Suddenly one of those few girls I would call my love, if allowed, put "Lambada" on my wall in that social net, you know. She didn't know that this had become the first song I ever called favourite - when I was twelve I used to listen to it on repeat.
I started a conversation; she told me she had thought about me a couple of days before, that i must had been feeling misunderstood, and she read my blog, worried about me, and was about to ask me to tell her about my life but afraid I would turn out beyond her comprehension due to being ten years older. I told her about my life those days, the inferences I had made. I told her I had found love being just a blinding chemistry, hadn't managed to begin new relations, that many girls had been scared by me. "I used to be scared by you, too", she said. "And now I feel like your daughter". I asked her to kiss my forehead if we would meet, and she promised, and said good-night.
Then I took the guitar my ex-girlfriend had left, turned the microphone on, and recorded my point of view at "Lambada", named it "a valentine to Barbara", and put it on that beautiful girl's wall on that social net, you know.
That was how I began this project. The songs of a lonely 30 years old man who would call a few girls his love, if allowed, and that wouldn't be a lie, because a broken heart needs love, a sharp mind sees beauty, and tender hands can give warmth. If allowed.
