Ciclo debuts on the label with Last Minute Call, a 3 track EP showcasing his dynamic approach to contemporary club music. Based in Medellín, Colombia, the new family members productions fuse groovy basslines, acid-influenced textures and percussive-heavy rhythms, drawing inspiration from the hip-hop sounds of the mid to late 90s. Each track reflects his deep musical influences while pushing forward a unique and modern club-ready sound. This works is a statement of intent, raw and ready for the dancefloor.

Originally released in the late ’90s, Marius Acke’s Crucial Traxx EP series is one of those rare gems — deep, funky, soulful, and full of the raw, analog groove that defines the golden age of house. Missed by many at the time, the records are now enjoying a well-deserved revival, championed by today’s leading selectors like Dam Swindle, ANOTR, Chris Stussy, Jamie Jones, Disclosure, Barry Can't Swim, Salute, Chloé Caillet, Known Artist, Sidney Charles, Shonky, Danny Howard and more.

Already a respected figure in the Antwerp scene back then, Marius Acke had co-produced numerous records for Mixz Productions and the iconic ARS label, including remixes for acts like Technotronic. His sound blended US-influenced house with early hip-hop sensibilities and deep, synth-laced textures, earning him a cult following among vinyl diggers and local DJs alike.

Happiness Therapy is proud to give new life to this essential piece of Belgian house history with a reissue of the Crucial Traxx EP series. All tracks have been carefully remastered and will be available on both vinyl and digital formats, including a special limited edition of 100 translucent red vinyl copies. HTCT01 marks the beginning of a reissue series dedicated to the lost gems of Marius Acke’s discography.

More than just a nostalgic reissue, this EP reminds us how visionary Acke’s sound truly was. Rooted in the 90s, but crafted with a timeless sense of balance and soul.

Marius Acke - Everyday Life [Happiness Therapy Crucial Traxx 01]

Titled Computer Datafiles, by artist Luca Lucena, the EP was inspired by sounds from the early 2000s, when electro house was starting to gain traction in the global electronic scene, still before it became commercialized and lost its character. Around 2004/2005, many tracks were being released with this vibe, and Luca has always lived and admired it. In this EP, he brings back these references, trying to stay as true as possible to the production processes of that time, with much of the creation being produced on the Korg Electribe SX sampler, a classic of that era. Despite this strong inspiration, he also managed to infuse a lot of his current sonic identity: acidic, energetic, and sometimes even a bit dark. This EP also features a remix by Guilherme Cherubini of the track Deeejay, bringing a vibe more oriented towards house and groove, referencing the more futuristic and current aesthetics of Deep Tech and Addiction 21.
