Founded in Minneapolis in early 2011, The Future Was Then is a SLC, UT/Lincoln, NE, based duo consisting of Germ! Innate (The Scientific Method, D.I.C.) and J. “Bunnie” Dreher (D.I.E., Esoteria).

Inspired by noise, the cut up, and a DIY philosophy, TFWT borrows ideas from Industrial, Punk,, and Hip Hop bringing forward new ideas, while perfecting the past. As producers, they refuse to be pigeon-holed and take a certain kind of pride in being able to work across genres and try to implement aspects of many of them into their music. With history as their guide, they are here to tell us: The Future was Then.
