"the Good news"

In these uncertain times, there is a group from Philadelphia whose sole mission is to provide hope for the hopeless, strength for the weary and love for the lonely. “the Good news” sound can be categorized more so as a walking testimony than a “genre” of music. Only the stripes of surviving temporary debilitation, breast cancer, and a nightmarish childhood could birth the raw and unpretentious lyrics composed by this group. One could assume that by the weight of their individual and collective stories, the sound could rightfully be brooding, however “the Good news” marinates their harmonic melodies in a pop-rock brew seasoned with catchy uplifting hooks and oft times heavy guitar and drum lines. There is a certain "no turning back'" attitude in their records and the true to life stories they tell invite you to stay a while in the living room of their souls. 

The group is currently recording their latest penned testimonials and they eagerly await to release their music and share the message. That “thing” that is and will always remain consistent in their sound can be summed up in three words; Inspirational, empowering and honest.
