This is a January 14, 2018 performance by the Sarah Hughes Ensemble at Baltimore's The Crown.  Sharing the stage with Sarah ((sax, flute, clarinet & vocals)) (http://www.sarahmariehughes.com/)were Patrick Whitehead (trumpet, piccolo trumpet and quarter-tone flügelhorn), Sam Lohman (percussion), Dan Gutstein (spoken word)and T. A. Zook (NS Design Omnibass, strung as a basscello).   Although spoken word artist Dan Gutstein was reading from his texts, the performance was otherwise unscored, unrehearsed and improvised extemporaneously on the spot.
