Stormont weather: elections in Northern Ireland

Pour Ilana, 10 ans, les punitions ne servent à rien car "cela rend les élèves tristes". Quand la maîtresse lui crie dessus, Lyna, 12 ans, "ne comprend plus rien". En maternelle, des enfants sont maintenus de force pour faire la sieste. D'autres se font humilier par des animatrices et d'autres élèves parce qu'ils pleurent trop souvent. Des parents d'élèves découvrent que, sur les temps périscolaires, personne n'est en charge de changer les plus petits... Quant à Claire, 40 ans, elle retrouve, dans le regard de son ex-conjoint violent, les yeux de sa mère qui ne l'aimait pas...
Au-delà des violences les plus graves, physiques et sexuelles, à quels types de violences invisibles, acceptées, voire encouragées, les enfants sont-ils exposés ? Pourquoi ces violences participent-elles de la domination adulte ? Comment ces réflexions s'articulent-elles avec les questions féministes ? Sans entrer dans les polémiques sur les modes d'éducation (faut-il consigner l'enfant dans sa chambre ?), cet épisode donne à écouter des paroles rares et fortes d'enfants et d'adultes se souvenant de leur enfance. Il interroge les relations entre adultes et enfants à l'école et à la maison, et met en lumière la violence et le pouvoir au prisme de l'âge. 
Comment nous, adultes, accueillons-nous les enfants dans ce monde ? Quelles relations entretenons-nous avec eux ? Comment les considérons-nous ?
