From the opening line, "mark my words", Rob Bailey & The Hustle Standard are making a statement with their second album, appropriately titled, Beast.  If you're not familiar with the RBHS sound it's a mixture of hardcore, dubstep, hiphop, and punk elements meant to get you off your ass and headed down a path of domination.  Fans of their previous EP, Battle Tested, will be happy to know that Beast picks up  right where the duo left off.  The Hustle Standard's production is still huge; Rob Bailey's voice is still larger-than-life; and the songs still make you want to run through walls.

Beast starts with the song "I Am Not Done" which features the Brooklyn-born artist Moxiie proclaiming "This is not last year and I am not done here".  The second song is also the title-track, "Beast", and quite simply, this one is a BEAST.  On "Run This" Charley Hustle (a.k.a The Hustle Standard) sings "I'm too busy chasing mine to let the world leave me behind/I'm going for mine", and on "What I Live For" Rob's hell-fire voice demands that you "Wake up!".  "Ambulances", a fun play on Rob's verse from "Run Shit", features the Bronx rapper, Drew Boogie.  The remix to "I Am Not Done" is an uptempo, electro remix that helps the album breathe before getting into the final remix.  "The Beast Remix" is not just a remix of the song "Beast", but of the whole album with elements of every song over heavy trap style production.  The final song, "Jealous", is undoubtedly the most unique of the 8 songs, and on first listen could be seen as a departure for the pair, but all of the intensity and honor, that make Rob Bailey & The Hustle Standard what they are, is front and center over this methodical, evolving track.  Overall, Beast, is a declaration that, despite any odds, people can not only overcome, but can become Beasts.
