Formed in June 2010, in the mother city, Cape Town, South Africa. Becoming active in September 2010. In which we performed our very first show at Muzone. Since then we have performed at venues such as ROAR, Muzone, Balke (Worcester), Double D's, Mercury, Wynberg Sports Club, and other private functions, as well as events such as Metal madness, Ultra gig 8000, Right to Rock, Rock the River (Easter beast and NYE), Animayhem, Mobfest, Bludjinn fest and many others. We won the Edgemead High School and Rock The River battle of the bands, gaining us recognition amongst a wide variety of audiences in the South African metal scene.

We have played amongst great bands such as Mind Assault, Crow Black Sky, Imperium Of Man, The Broken Result, Yes Sir! Mister Machine, Enmity, Heathens, Bringing A Shark To A Gunfight, Wargrave, When Karma Sleeps, Stone Collar, Forgive Us Not, Sonnet For A Dead Countess, Era Of Heirachy (Confessions On A Deathbed), Infanteria, All Forlorn, 12th Avenue (Mark Haze), Fear Vs Twelve, Sindulgence, Suiderbees (Beespoesbrutal!), Arc Reactor, Reverse the Sands, This Dying World and Messiah Complex.

The members of The Impalement Theory are: Paul Rahilly on vocals. Jen Jaffe on rhythm guitar, Dylan Kron on lead guitar, JP Monroe (Ex - Lord Have Mercy) on bass, and last but not least Josh Haller (Ex - Escaping Larry) on drums.

We are passionate about spreading our unique and original music to the public, and we strive to create music that ever growing South African metal and alternative fans can enjoy and appreciate. Our very first EP, consisting of four tracks, has been recorded and is to hopefully be released in early 2012.
