We are 3 weeks in and day 21 continues the journey into the DISCO19 vault once more.

“Tana” was written for my debut Transmission 2023 Poland set. Built on a deep hypnotic groove driven by African vocal textures and slow-burning melodic tension.
This was one of the core elements of the unreleased album project, which never materialized, so the track stayed locked away on my hard drive.

Today it finally comes out of hiding.

I've been a huge fan of Chase & Status ever since I remixed their track 'Blind Faith' a good few years ago..so as soon as I heard their track 'Backbone' with Stormzy, I knew right away that I had to remix this as well..but under my 'Dark Sherry' hard techno alias! 😈
I also wanted to make something that was really fast and crazy to play as my closing track in my 'Dark Sherry' set at Luminosity Events in the summer earlier this year - so this is what I came up with!

When I decided to remix it, my goal was to honor the iconic vocal and euphoric spirit of the original while injecting it with the high-energy, driving trance sound of today. I wanted to create something that would hit hard on the dance floor but still make you feel like you're flying.
