Main Zinda Hoon

We love when music tells a story. We love it more when music completes a story. Two anguished hearts caught in the woes of love attempt to translate their hurt in their art. Their creativity transports them to a plane where they connect again. A plane forged by music, dance and a common intensity of emotion. An original rearrangement of Mehdi Hassan and Ahmad Faraz’s ghazal “Ranjish Hi Sahi” frames and feeds the story.

The Revisit Project :
The musical endeavours of this band focus on interpreting some of the best tunes of all time in an innovative and contemporary manner. As a tribute to the music legends, TRP’s renditions retain the essence and nostalgia of the original compositions but by imparting their own musical element, they attempt to produce absolutely refreshing rearrangements . Majorly creating instrumental pieces, the band displays an interesting fusion of sounds. From the jazzy saxophone to the melodious beats of a ghatam held together by strong keys, bass and drums, it all fuses harmoniously. Join them on their journey to recreate magical melodies .

‘Kaala Dil’, as one may infer, represents everyone who has had an epiphany that in a world
full of nefarious souls, love is ephemeral. It is a story of hoping against hope, a tug of war
between heart and mind. The heart wants to give love a chance but the mind (which has seen
how this world functions) is meticulous to deduce that it may never happen.

It may also represent souls who believe that their heart should be guarded at all costs, the
only way to protect one’s heart and ethereal soul is to blend in with the world which is a dark
place to live in. To carry a dark and egocentric heart in order to protect oneself from others
and not fade into the oblivion.
