Hold on to your glowsticks! Michele Conte's "Morning Smacker EP" is here to light up dancefloors like a fog machine gone wild. Dropping August 15, 2025, on Uber Fit Records, it's pure peak-time techno chaos. Picture this: you're at your first underground rave in a grimy Sydney warehouse, sun peeking through the windows as if to say, "this won't last forever." The vibe? Absolute mayhem with a side of nostalgia.

Michele Conte, a maestro in crafting heads-down bangers, draws from the legendary Sydney renegade raves of the early '90s. Those were the days where chaos and bliss danced together till 5am, and no one had a clue where the night would take them. Conte’s crafted these tracks with raw energy, blending new hard techno vibes with old-school morning banger feels. It's gritty and hits different in the small hours, just like our recent obsessions with Boom Merchant's thunderous "Solo" and Marteka Fair's hypnotic "Missed Call (Bekkler Remix)".

"Morning Smacker," a tune that'll twist the crowd into knots, is the kind of track that can rattle the warehouse walls right down to the basement sessions. Morning Smacker

MIND THIEF is my first self-released EP as Hycastle. I started working on these tracks back in 2022 while I was still deep in addiction, coping with complex grief and trauma. Now, I’m finishing it clean and empowered.

This isn’t a pretty EP. It’s sharp, chaotic, and intense. It's a reflection of the battles I fought with myself and the darkness I nearly lost my mind to.

Most of it was originally made under the influence, and it's been a huge pain in the ass to make these tracks even remotely listenable. Still, these tracks gave me power in some of my lowest points and kept pulling me back to finish and release them any way I could.

Working on this taught me the power of letting music be raw and imperfect. Chasing some “perfect” standard isn’t the point. Music is power, and power is meant to be shared.

Spinning tunes since 2006 with a true passion for the Harder Styles of Dance Music, The Khemist manipulates the bodies of dancers far and wide with his harder sound and has always left ravers satisfied yet wanting more. 

The Khemist has represented the BLUE stage at Defqon.1 Australia since 2012 as well has holding a main room residency at MASIF Saturdays @ SPACE. Alongside his colleagues used to own and operate ESCAPE nightclub in sydney.

His sound derives from a unique mixture of old and new hardstyle with heavy influences from Noisecontrollers, Toneshifterz, Frontliner, Zatox, Brennan Heart, just to name a few, as well as a blend of his own edits, mash-ups & originals.

As a producer, he was taught Hard Dance Music Production by none other than Australian hardstyle legends: Code Black & Audiofreq (Formerly Bioweapon / BRK3). 

With a passion rarely found and learning from some of the world’s leaders in today’s hardstyle scene, you’ll want to keep an eye on what is to come for this one of australia's best hard dance artists.
